Prague, Czechia is an amazing city. It is definitely crowded and seems like a popular party spot for the young adults (lots of beer drinking and hollering!) amidst a backdrop of majestic historical buildings and sites. We stayed in the the center of Prague so we could be close to some famous sites like the Charles Bridge, the Prague Astronomical Clock, which is in the oldest square in the historic center, Old Town Square, and the Petrin Tower. All of which we visited.
One of the most endearing part of the Czech culture is how young people on public transportation will give up their seat to those that may need it more than them - people carrying a lot of bags/luggage and the elderly (Me! on the first day in Prague, two young gentlemen offered their seat to me.) I also noticed that people will always say "Dobry Den" or "Good day" when you walk into an establishment. The Czech language is very difficult (took me a while to get the hang of "Dekuji" (Thank you), but I noticed that if you give it a try, people are a bit more friendly.
We explored some local neighborhoods too because, of course, Dexter wanted to visit the local Yo-Yo shop, Slusny. One of his favorite yo-yoers (Jakub Dolejs) frequents the store. Jakub was not there, but Dexter purchased a yoyo from the shop and was able to stand and throw his yo-yo where Jakub stood.
Prague is a beautiful city, but next time, I would like to explore the surrounding area and see more of the Czech Republic.
