The Murta's wanted to show us their favorite spots around their home in Portugal. Since they live in Palmela, they are close to Setubal, a harbor city as well as the Arrabida National Park. We started at their favorite local breakfast place that had the best coffee and little sandwiches for breakfast. The kids decided to have cake for breakfast (!!!), chocolate and red velvet. . . good choices! We hiked above Palmela to these old windmills and beautiful views of the area. Then we drove down the coast through Arrabida National Park to Sesimbra, a local beach town. It was all a wonderful day and was endearing to the area. I can see why they love it here!
